I met Draco thanks to Pavlina (model #1, who, as you may remember, convinced me to seriously attempt to learn to draw the human figure).

Pavlina invited me to visit her in Prague and introduced me to some of her friends. Draco is a professional photo model, though she agreed to meet for sketching.

After listening to my introduction, she knew immediately how to pose for me. She put on an audiobook and listened while I drew, while she relaxed on the sofa.

Perfect! She completely understood my desire to draw models relaxing in authentic positions.

Mid-way through our first session, Pavlina joined us and gave me a chance to attempt to draw two models simultaneously. While I doubt they would sit together like this if I were not drawing them, they carried on a comfortable conversation the entire time, which definitely gave me the sense that I was, nevertheless, capturing something authentic in their friendship.
