Inna is a traveling photo model from Ukraine. For a visit to Copenhagen she reached out and we agreed that I would host her for the visit and she would pose for me.
I had a great time both drawing and talking to her.
After seeing some of my earlier sketches, and then my first sketch of her in blue, she asked if I could draw in black and white. I always tell models that I want to hear their thoughts, so I loved that she voiced her preference!
I was happy to switch back to charcoal for this session and it was quite interesting to try the medium again after so many weeks playing with color.
She also made original and intelligent suggestions for posing that helped her hold difficult poses longer, helping both of us work smarter.
I hope to follow up our first session with even more if she returns to Copenhagen in the future.
